Graced by the natural beauty of northern Michigan, our 18-hole course
spans 6,330 yards of classic golf course design and impeccable course
maintenance. It is a peaceful, scenic getaway and your playing partners
may include native bird and wildlife species. Traverse City Golf & Country
Club was designed and built by Tom Bendelow, a Scotsman from Aberdeen
who was one of America's pioneer golf course artchitects and who
eventually designed over 400 golf courses in the United States.
As a member you will enjoy the Club’s in-town location, availability of
tee times, speed of play and the choice to either walk or ride. Our complete
practice facilities encourage members of all levels to sharpen their skills.
Our practice facilities were completely renovated and our irrigation system
replaced in 2006 & 2007. Our PGA teaching professionals are always on
hand to cheerfully foster improvement or join in for a round with your
group.
Our course, a classic northern Michigan mixture of mature maples, oaks,
pines, and spruces, offers risk and reward, challenging all players from
scratch to high-handicap golfers, and our heartiest golfers often stretch
the golf season to eight months.
From the brilliant buds of spring to the blazing colors of autumn, the golf
season is filled with a variety of golf events and leagues designed to enhance
the experience of both the accomplished and novice golfer..
